Wear It Wednesday | Styling a Chambray Button Down for Warmer Weather

I am part of a fun group of gals over on Instagram where we challenge ourselves to wear pieces already in our closets. And recently, we styled button down tops so here are 3 ways I wear a button down top in the summer time.

Over a Dress
If you’re new around here let me tell you something, I love wearing dresses. But here in Colorado mornings are cool sometimes near cold, so I need something to wear over my dress until it is warm enough to go bare arms out into the world.

Dress: Elegantees

With Crop Pants
Chambray is an ultra lightweight layer, so wearing it as a top is cool and breezy without feeling like I’m going to sweat ti death. Paired with cropped olive pants and easy slide on sandals with my favorite Noonday Collection earrings.

As a Lightweight Layer
Wearing a chambray button down as a lightweight layer, is perfect for traveling when you know we can all travel again. I’m wearing my chambray over my Elegantees Namara tank with straight leg distressed  boyfriend denim. I added my glamorous rose gold custom Sseko Sandals to complete the look with some summer shimmer.

I don’t own many button down tops, but wearing a button down during the warmer months is the perfect weight on hot summer days. My chambray is old and admittedly from Target, so I keep wearing it. So, challenge yourself to style a button down in a new way this summer!
