Mindfulness | COVID-19 Bucket List

As we all adjust to the ever changing normal of the Coronavirus pandemic, it is important to keep busy. I am one of those people who just cannot sit still. I like to be doing and going all the time. With the advice of the CDC and other Public Health Officials, I find it hard to be home so often and not over work myself. So, I’ve made a list of tasks and generated some ideas to help keep you busy and active even at home.

  1. CREATE
This is the perfect time to create. Have you been itching to write a book or pick up painting? With shelter in place orders across the country, borrow some supplies from a friend or try Michael’s curbside pick up to create something you’ve always wanted to.I want to create 2 paintings during this time, I have an idea in my head and I already have the supplies. Really at this point I just need to sketch it out and make time to do it! When I am done, I’d like to hang them side by side above our couch in the living room!
  1. ORGANIZE
I heard someone say the other day I never have time to clean or organize, guess I do now! And he is right. Perhaps that junk drawer is getting a little out of control, or your garage has needed to be sorted through for years but you’ve just been busy. Trust me, I get it. I have a closet or two I desperately need to go through. And I’ve been putting things in bags for the donation center for a while. Spend a day and tackle those spaces that you’ve been putting off for the last few months, or perhaps years. My office closet is ridiculous, we’ve moved so many times and I can’t believe the things we’ve held on to. Perhaps, I will finally get around to going through things.
  1. LEARN
I think this is the best way to spend our time, let 2020 be they year you learned something new! Listen to a podcast, read a book, or pick up your tools and learn something new! People are always saying if they had more time they’d learn a foreign language. We’ll folks when this all comes to an end, I expect you to be greeting me in Italian, French, and Spanish! Perhaps you’ve always been interested in baking? Or starting a garden or learning to jar or pickle!I love to listen to podcasts and audiobooks, I’ve been listening to some new podcasts on blogging and it’s been eye opening and I’d love to continue learning about color theory. I took a class in college and loved it, it’s incredible how color can affect our mood and how they interact with each other.

I’ve created a Quarantine Bucket List for you to print out. Write out how you’ll spend your time and remember only go out for essentials, nothing on this list is essential unless you can pick it up curbside my friends. Stay home, wash your hands, and stay healthy!

Tell me how you plan to use this time of slowing down!
