It may only be October but registration for Dressember is open and the 2019 Dress collection has been available for almost a month now. 2019 is my 6th year participating in Dressember and I couldn’t be more excited! I haven’t decided how to do Dressember this year.
The 2019 Dressember Dress & Tie Collection were all designed by people that the Dressember team finds inspirational and includes one participants design that was selected last year! See the whole collection, HERE, and let me know which style is your favorite!
For the last 5 years, I’ve bought a new dress for Dressember, and this year I decided to not buy the dress from the Dressember shop. Instead I picked a dress by Elegantees that I’ve been looking at for a few months now and was in the sale section. The Ruth is a midi length sheath dress, not tight but not loose, it has a V-neck back and a boatneck front with 3/4 length sleeves. It doesn’t have pockets to hide my gummy bears in but it is pretty amazing. Personally, I picked it because the cut was so similar to the Vera style Dressember was offering, but I wasn’t sold on the color choices. (Hey petite people, let’s stop with the whole, “I can’t wear this or that because of my height.” It’s a lie.)
In the past I’ve worn a variety of dresses and I’ve done the challenge wearing a single dress all December long. I’d love to find a way to incorporate some of my more formal dresses into the style challenge this year. (If you have an idea, I’d love to hear it!)
