Faith | Review of the NIV Journal the Word Bible for Women

I love my journaling bible at home, but it’s a little too precious for me to carry and bring to church. I’ve tried a few over bibles, but they are either too big or don’t have extra room for writing in so I can’t take notes. I was excited to get this beautiful NIV lay flat Journal in the Bible. It’s a fair size, not too big but still easy to read and write in. The lay flat feature is a huge plus, I appreciate being able to read and write at the beginning and the end of my bible without it trying to close on me.

The cover of this bible is also beautiful, it features the words from Psalm 62:1 “my soul finds rest in God” with coral and gold embellishments that make it unique and special. While the print is easy to read the paper is thin, I found my roller ball pens bled through the page and will go forward with a pencil or ballpoint. The text is in coordinating navy and the chapter numbers the section headings are in coral for a unified design from cover to cover. (pictures don’t do this one justice)

I appreciate that the print is easy to read, I may be young but my eyes aren’t great, without adding more bulk to this bible. It’s a similar size to my other journaling bible, you know the one I won’t let leave the house because it’s so special to me.

Overall, this is not only a gorgeous bible but a very functional one as well. I look forward to using this in church and at bible studies for years to come.
