September is officially here and whether the weather knows it or not, it’s officially time to kick off the fall season. Mornings are cooler (thank you sweet baby Jesus) and there is even college and NFL football on, I even busted out a flannel shirt to wear to the grocery store the other day. (not joking)
The best part about this update is that my BFF, Ken was here in California visiting! This month is super busy and will keep me on my toes, I’ll keep you in the loop! Speaking of Ken, she got engaged in August, let the wedding planning madness begin! I’m thrilled for her and her new beau! She came and spent a week here in California with me and I think we had a great time going from Yosemite to Half Moon Bay and eating donuts and planning some parts of her wedding!
This month I read: Living with Intent, Women in Science, Present over Perfect, and Harry Potter & the Cursed Child
I hosted my first ever Sseko designs party on Facebook this month, it was so fun to share what buying products from ethical sources can do for an artisan, in a developing nation. I even earned a little Sseko credit that I’m itching to spend!
Kayla and I are putting the final touches on our Dressing Your Best Self ebook, which will go live at the end of September. I’ve already gotten it into the hands of some trusted folks that will give me brutally honest feedback. We are previewing most of the chapters, (not all) before the launch on each Wednesday for the rest of the month.
And I’ve already been thinking about what to do for write 31 days in October. Yes, it’s already time for that again! I think I am going to assemble an ethical shopping guide and post updates on next steps and where I am each day. I already have a monster list of ethical, sustainably made and made in the usa brands in a very colorful excel document. But I want it to be easy to read and help people shop better this holiday season. Thoughts? What would you like to read about for the month of October?
And December isn’t too far off…are you going to participate in Dressember 2016?
