In preparation for the warmer weather, today we are talking all about choosing a necklace for your neckline. First, it helps to know what your neckline is so I found this great visual on Pinterest, it links back to the original creators site but not the exact page, sorry about that…
So, let’s talk necklines:
Asymmetric: are pretty hard to add a necklace to so keep it simple add chandelier earrings for a classic elegant look.
Scoop neckline: Keep it simple with a necklace above or below the neckline.
V-neck: V shaped statement necklaces are perfect for accentuating the plunging neckline
Off the Shoulder: a scoopy necklace above the neckline to keep it elegant and feminine
High Neck or Turtle Neck: Add a long tassel pendant to elongate the neck to balance the chunky neckline
Halter: although the graphic features a heavy pendant, most halters make their own statement so consider accenting with an arm party or earrings
Sweetheart: a deep V statement necklace looks great with a sweetheart neckline, or keep it dainty with a small charm necklace again above the neckline
Straight across: layered choker helps to soften the harsh lines.
Square: lengthen the neckline with a long layering necklace, simple, chic and again softens the neckline while lengthening your neck
Boatneck: I disagree with the graphic on this one, I love a long layered set of necklaces with a boatneck, adding a choker extends your shoulders making you look broader, slim the neckline and yourself with a longer necklace.
