Whitney Miller won the Food Network MasterChef show in 2010, since then she has written, cooked, and eaten her way around the world.
In Miller’s second book New Southern Table; My Favorite Family Recipes with a Modern Twist is a fun twist on classic southern foods. She incorporates foods and styles from her travels all over the world and aims to make them healthier with less cream, butter and sugar.
I hope her coconut chai tea recipe and her creative homemade buttermilk ricotta cheese recipe, perfect for incorporating into your own favorite recipes! I love her classic tomato gravy recipe over homemade biscuits, just wish I could have made this for my Great Grandmother as I know she would have loved it. This cookbook also features a pantry list and beautiful photography, although not all recipes are photographed.
I highly recommend this cookbook to my southern foodie loving friends who want to add a bit of world flare and more healthy eating options in the new year! Interested in Miller’s New Southern Table? Buy it on Amazon, HERE
