As if you haven’t cooked, eaten enough food over the last week or so, tis the season to Bake. And I’m so excited to be baking out of Food52’s new Baking cookbook with ’60 sensational treats you can pull off in a snap’.
This is a beautiful cookbook, hardcover, lays flat, matte paper, easy to read recipes and photos of nearly all the recipes. The book even includes tips on how to mail cookies to friends far from home! Recipes include Breakfast foods, cookies & bars, fruit desserts, custardy cakes & puddings, everyday cakes, special occasion cakes, and my favorite savory baked goods!
These recipes are easy enough for a novice to understand and a pro to enjoy. We made the Brown Sugar Shortbread for a sweet weekend treat, simple yummy and perfect to pair with hot chocolate and tea in the evenings! The 3 ingredient recipe was very enticing but I’m going to have to work on the technique, my dough came out too sandy and turned into Shortbread crumble, still yummy and perfect for topping ice cream!
