Wear It Wednesday | Summer to Fall Part 2- how to style scarfs

Welcome, welcome, welcome! Today we are finishing our Transition to Fall look and I (Kayla) am sharing a few ways to style a scarf and Shelby is talking all about ankle boots (or midi boots) and cardigans over at The Creative Jayne!

I have two different scarves that I am sharing each with a couple different ways to wear them. Check it out:

First off I have a beautiful square scarf – this one comes from Noonday Collection – styled three different ways…

The Classic Knot
simply fold your scarf in half (the hot-dog way) then roll it beginning with the center corner (you should end up with the flat fold outside) then wrap it around your neck and tie it as tight or as loose as you’d like.

The Ascot Way
repeat the steps above to get to the twisted part, wrap your scarf around twice and the second time make a simple tuck-tie and viola!

The Casually Wrapped Way
fold your scarf in half (the hamburger way this time) wrap it around your neck and tie the two corners. adjust as desired and you can tuck one of the fourth corners into your knot to make it a little more rounded.

Next I have a FABULOUS blanket scarf (also from Noonday Collection) styled in two different ways:

The Braided Way
for this one fold the scarf in half and sling it around your neck. take the looped end with one hand and grab one of the fringed ends with the other, tuck it up and out of the loop. then take the other fringed end, tuck it down into the loop and there you have it!

The Bandanna Way
this is one of my very favorite ways to style a scarf. wrap the scarf around once leaving the fringes hanging on either side of you (in the front). grab one of your fringed sides and tuck one corner up under the neck of your scarf. if you want to, tuck the other side the opposite way.
