Make It Happen by Lara Casey- Review

My Instagram feed has been blowing up with Lara Casey’s Book Make it Happen for the last few weeks…I admit I was hesitant. I am not a fan of ‘Self Help’ Books. I don’t want to hear how somewhere in my life I have made a wrong decision and need to come back to the fold of God. In fact, my spiritual life is pretty good right now! I am doing the She Reads Truth 365 days of Truth, I meet with my BBSF (Best Bible Study Friend) Stacie each week, and I am spending a lot of time in prayer. Way more than I was a few months ago. So, yeah I was hesitant and then when Stacie mentioned she wanted to read it too, I decided to give it ago. After I read the introduction all I could think was, “Did she write this for me?” This is no self help book, this is a realize you are worth more than rubies, book…do you need to be reminded of that? Because boy did I!

Casey’s book walks you through her life. Her triumphs, her failures, her dreams and her self doubt. The questions, oh my are they tough. Trust me you will want to put this down and not pick it up again. Slowly, Casey peels away your fear, frustrations, and walks you through the dirty sticky part of life you keep hidden away. Seriously. I wanted to plow through this book and write my review, and request something fun and lighter to read. Casey keeps you in the book, holds you there and helps you reflect on where you are, what is keeping you from moving ahead and making sure that what you are moving forward on is GOOD for you and God. She will walk you through setting up goals, and taking the leap!

I can’t recommend this book enough. Get your copy now. Make it Happen: Surrender Your Fear. Take the Leap. Live On Purpose.
