Advent Week 3 | Joy

Joy to the World! The Lord has come! Let Earth receive her King!

But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behind, I create Jerusalem to be a joy and her people to be a gladness! -Isaiah 65:18 ESV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control, against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Id we live by the Spirit, let us also was by the Spirit. -Galatians 5:22-15 ESV

Happy 3rd Sunday of Advent! Today we are talking about joy. What is joy?

Joy– noun,

1.the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation

2. a source or cause of keen pleasure or delight; something or someone greatly valued or appreciated

3. the expression or display of glad feeling; festive gaiety.

4. a state of happiness or felicity.

What if I told you joy is only as satisfying as repentance is deep? In this season of waiting for the Savior’s arrival are you feeling joy? Are you feeling it in expectation of what is coming or in what God is doing in the waiting?
