TIGF- December 12

It’s Friday, again already? I guess having house guests for 2 weeks really does through your weekly schedule for a loop.

Family. I am grateful for my family that flew out to visit us for 5 days. I grew up with all my family in Texas and accessible within 5 hours. Now living in California and everyone else in Texas, it’s hard to plan a trip when we are trying to make ends meet and nearly impossible to take multiple days off from my husbands job.

Exploring. I firmly believe in exploring what is around you. While my parents were here we were allowed to play tourists and visit Golden Gate, The Presidio of San Fransisco and Yosemite National Park. We saw new things and hiked unknown trials.

Dressember. I totally failed for a few days but I am beginning to feel empowered when I put on a dress. I realized there is so much in life I can make a difference in. Even if it is as simple as wearing a dress.

Opportunities (or a lack thereof). Still nothing on the job front, the capitalist in me says open a door and stop waiting for God to do it. But the christian in me says He will open the right door for you at the right time, just be patient. I don’t do patient very well.

What are you grateful for this week?

  1. I love when we get to play tourist! It reminds me of how much I love our area and how much there is to discover here!
