TIGF- Things I am Grateful For September 26

So, as you are reading this I am well on my way to Las Vegas to hang out with my crazy family that lives in Texas…which is practically everyone but me, Travis and his Sister but I am not sure I should count her…anyhow.

Hey, Vegas!
Hey, Vegas!

Last time I was in Vegas was in June when Mom and I drove through as I was moving from Colorado to California. (read about that HERE) So, I am extremely grateful for lots of things this week.

Yep, Travis and I were up at 12 am on sept 12 to order our new iPhones before we drove 8+ hours to Northern California and on Friday my new phone was delivered. The UPS guy even congratulated me on my new phone. I acknowledge that being ‘grateful’ for this is EXTREMLY materialistic and goes against what this post is even supposed to be about, and yet here I am.

Run & Ride.

Last weekend, Travis and I ran in the 2 mile Modesto Cancer Awareness Run and Ride. I had the opportunity to meet a few of his fellow co workers, including the HR girl that helped hire him. (I am extremely GRATEFUL for her) Although Travis was sick most of last week, he still ran the 2 miles and made a decent time. I ran my best pace ever, although I really struggled once I got home. I need to work on my overall strength.

I am so grateful for all of my family. But I love that my dad went out of his way to give my mom her most awesome birthday EVER last week. Also, my dad received some test results that were eerily similar to cancer earlier this year, but since then he has had a biopsy which proved it is not cancerous and that we should have no worries!

I am also grateful for my friend Mary, who runs a Pet Sitting business and is watching my Thing 1 and Thing 2 (Shade and Huey) while we are living it up in Vegas.

I think fall maybe trying to make a presence here in Central California (finally) and I couldn’t be more grateful. I LOVE wearing long sleeves and scarves, drinking coffee and running in the cool air! Yeah for cooler (we are down maybe 8 degrees)

31 days.

I signed up last week to blog everyday during the month of October on one theme. (If you want to sign up go HERE) It took me a few days to figure out what to write on but I finally decided on Building my Business. I need to be more aggressive and get out there but after moving my photography 3 times in 2 years, you get a little burnt out. I am hoping this will motivate me and in the process capture this time in my life and my business. Also, I made a button…this is a BIG deal y’all.
